Starting Again I Hope

Here I go again trying to start this blog. I hope to keep it up. We thought maybe if there were several of us posting that it might be easier to keep up with. We will have some guest writers from time to time. Bear with us as we continue to keep up with ways to keep you up to speed about what is happening here at R & R Quilts. It is funny that I begin this again as I am about to go to International Quilt Market again. I am looking forward to seeing all the new fabrics, notions and trends that will be coming in the new year.

While I am gone we are having a National Chocolate Day event. Come in and pick out a candy bar and see what you win. There will be some discounts, coupons, and instant book and pattern prizes. Come try your chance, you might win and you might not but it will be sweet and fun!

TO MARKET TO MARKET I GO

I am heading to the International Quilt Market in Houston. Can't wait to get there and check out all the new and exciting things in store for the next few months. We have lots of new events and demos, and classes in the works here at the shop. Stay tuned for all the fun stuff coming your way.
We have a pillow case party coming up Oct 17th 10-4. We will be demonstrating the "noodle" technique to sew a pillowcase up in a jiffy. It is a come and go so come by and see what we are up to.

Pillowcases for ConKerr Cancer

Come by on and make a cheerful pillowcase for a child who is sick with cancer or another serious illness. This is a good cause for our community. We would love to have you ladies come by and sew up a cute pillowcase.

STASH SALE/NEW FABRICS

The stash sale has begun. The ladies have their tables full of goodies. Come in ans see what bargains you can get.

Vine Creek has arrived, it is by Kansas Troubles and Moda. Luna by Maywood has begun to arrive and it is BRIGHT and wild. Alex Anderson's Always and Forever collection is here and going fast. It is red,white and black . It has some toille like pieces that are great.


I am getting the shop ready for all the upcoming holidays. Labor Day is coming (we will be closed). Halloween , Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is time to get busy on all those holiday projects.

COOL TIES

America We Support You group will be here Friday the 28th at 1:30 pm. Come on over and help them out , make some cool ties for the soldiers and check out the stash sale.

STASH SALE

Come for the stash sale this Friday and Saturday. Several customers will have their own quilt and sewing related stash up for sale. It is a good time to get some goodies and maybe find that piece of fabric you have been have been searching for. I may even have a sale going in the shop for you. Come by this weekend August 28th and 29th.

CONGRATULATIONS

We got lost in the fifties and had a great time with shop hop. Hope everyone had a good time. We had a big turnout and we thank you all for participating. I still can' do the hula hoop.

Janis Adams won the R & R Grand Prize. Congratulations to her.

Tool School is tomorrow so come in and see what we have.

Quilts of Valor and community service sew day is Mon August 3rd. Come by and join in the sewing. Stay as long or as little as you like, it is come and go. Hope to see you! Our service men and women really appreciate our work.
